American Society of Gene and Cell Therapy (ASGCT) is a primary professional membership organization in cell and gene therapy. The annual conference moves around the United States, building forward form the mission statement, “to advance knowledge, scientific practice, and education in the field of gene and cell therapy”. The conference brings together individuals at the forefront of every stage of the process of gene and cell therapy development. From scientists to patient advocates, the goal is to transform medicine by using genetic and cellular therapies to control and cure disease together.

Founded in 1976 with the goal of providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and innovations in biological and engineering techniques, the European Society for Animal Cell Technology (ESACT) has since developed into a society of specialists in animal cell research. The second event of the year hosted by Alliance for Regenerative Medicine (ARM) is Cell and Gene Meeting on the Mesa. This event features company presentations, panels and workshops, and 5,000+ partnering meetings with a critical focus on bringing decision makers together. The overall theme at Mesa is how the industry can align to tackle emergent challenges in commercialization from earlier phases in each process. Everything from clinical trial design to payment models and beyond is covered. The event moved from Southern California to Arizona in 2024, a sign of the growth the event has experienced over the last few years.
